Gluten Free Fast Food

Where can you find Gluten Free Fast Food?

McDonalds. Of course that we start with this one. Apparently, you can order any of their burgers gluten free. All you have to do is ditch the bun and ask them to wrap it in lettuce instead. Also, if you want a Big Mac, skip the special sauce on them.

Burger King. Their site states pretty clearly that they have certain gluten-free options. However, the risk of cross-contamination is high. If you want to take a risk, get a Whopper without the bun. Or the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. One of their salads or the soft-serve ice cream are also good gluten-free options.

Chipotle. Unfortunately, their burritos are not a Gluten Free Fast Food. But you can opt for a burrito bowl or a corn tortilla. You can choose any type of meat, beans and rice, as long as you do not ask for a flour tortilla. Anything else from Chipotle is safe-game. This is probably the best place to eat at if you want something gluten-free.

KFC. They specialize in breaded fried chicken; therefore it is no surprise that your options are limited there. The only things you can choose from are the sides, green beans and corn.

Wendy’s. Most people with Celiac or with gluten sensitivity head over to Wendy’s when they crave fast food. Most, if not all of their potatoes contain no gluten. Their salads are also a good option, as long as they do not add any croutons in them.

Nowadays, more and more people get diagnosed with Celiac disease. Therefore, restaurants have started broadening their gluten-free options. While it is some progress, take note that not all Gluten Free Fast Food choices are equal. The risk of cross contamination is still high, even though the product is labeled as gluten free.
