Gluten Free Donuts

First of all, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a donut tin and then set it aside. Take a large bowl and then mix in the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and sugar. Stir well and then create a dip in the middle. Now you can add the butter, eggs and yogurt. Incorporate them a little at a time, mixing well after each addition. Take the baking tin and then fill them three quarters of the way.

If you want perfectly shaped donuts, place the batter into a piping bag. Pipe the batter into the wells, then place them in the oven. Bake for 10 minutes, until they turn golden brown. Allow them to cool off slightly before you put any glaze on them.

VARIATION: You can make these gluten free donuts in a Mini Donut Maker machine instead of the oven. Therefore, rather than preheating the oven, warm up the donut maker and follow the manufacturer’s directions. Make the batter as explained above. Fill the bottom of the donut maker completely, then secure the lid on top. Bake your donuts for about 3 minutes. Once the time is up. Remove them with the special tool. Transfer them onto a wire rack to cool, then repeat with the rest of the batter.

TIPS: To make chocolate chip doughnuts, add in ¾ cup of chocolate chips in the batter. For cinnamon donuts, add two teaspoons of cinnamon or nutmeg in. You can also sprinkle a dash of cinnamon on top of the still warm doughnuts.

This is how you make delicious Gluten free donuts for the whole family to enjoy. Adjust the recipe to your tastes and don’t fear getting creative in the kitchen.
